I placed an order for a Rueben, chips, and a root beer for delivery. It arrived in about 35 minutes, still hot and it was delicious !

Did you know that Michaels Original Pizza has really delicious thin crust pizza? Did you know that they also have great burgers and sandwiches? Did you know that they have several big screens where you can watch several different sports at the same time? We had a mushroom burger and a beef combo that were out of this world delicious! And now you know!

You want a #pizza this? Sorry, you'd have to fight me for this. "Home of the original tavern style pizza" Thin crust pizza at its best! We had a Michael's Special Pizza: Sausage, mushroom, green pepper, and onion. With great tasting sauce! The location is a neighborhood favorite And an awesome place to grab a beer, some pizza and watch a sporting event. There are some other interesting items on the menu, and I will gladly try one of those next time I visit.

Long overdue updated review. Michael's is an old Chicago bar that serves up a top 5 tavern style pizza in the city. I've heard the deep dish is pretty good, but locals know that primarily for tourists, suburbanites, and when hosting visitors from out of town. Wings are above average too. I strongly suggest dinning in. Service has improved significantly over the years. The entire crew is doing a great job. 4.3 stars.

Great spot to watch the games and enjoy a drink and some good food. There's plenty of seating; bar seats and high tops and tables. The pizza and wings are great- especially the pizza- it's a thin flaky crust and so good. Check it out if you're in the area!

A great neighborhood spot for great food at an even better price. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the area. It is a great spot to catch a game with friends and the staff is friendly. The Pizza takes some time, but it is definitely worth it if you like Tavern Style or Deep Dish. It usually comes with a free soda too when ordering. The rest of their menu is pretty great too, the appetizers aren't too heavy for being fried and their sandwiches are generously portioned. It is a sports pub, so expect memorabilia, darker ambiance, with some games in the back. It can get packed quickly if there is big game on, but I haven't had an issue yet finding a table. It is street parking, so you might want to take a bus.

Michaels is a great neighborhood bar. We love going there to watch sports. You cant go wrong with deep dish or tavern style pizza both are great! They also have great appetizers the wings and nachos being our favorite. The service is quick and always refilling your water when needed.

Great space to watch a game. There were so many TVs playing every sport. It's a typical sports bar atmosphere meets neighborhood bar. The pizza was great. I liked how thin the crust was and it made for a great crunch. I specifically loved the white pizza. We added tomato, artichoke, and garlic and I would go back to get it again. Michael's pizza was also solid. The nachos looked a bit homemade when they made it to our table, but tasted great. There was SO much cheese on them (not complaining at all) and that made for some great cheese pulls and cheese on nearly every bite.

If you want some good food at a great price and have a game to watch, this is the spot to go. There are a ton of TV's to watch from. I recommend sitting at the bar versus the tables as the service seems to be slower at the tables. But for the prices you get for food and drinks, can't complain too much. We got a 14" pizza with pepperoni and basil ($17.05 + $3.05 per topping). The pizza was delicious, although I felt it wasn't as cheesy as I'd like. I love cheese so I like my pizza to be very cheesy, especially when I grab a slice. Overall, nice crunchy crust and the basil was a perfect topping to go with our pepperoni pizza. The mozzarella sticks ($7.85) and wings ($17.45 for 12) are great appetizers to share for the table. The cheese pull from the mozzarella sticks was even better than the pizza, though both were still fantastic. We later ordered fries ($4.15) as we were feeling a little hungry later while watching a game. The service is on the slow side at the tables. We couldn't always get a refill on our waters or drinks which left us thirsty and for me to drink my friend's water. The food is served quickly as I assume they want that out. For the drinks, it can take a bit to get your drinks or order another round. Even though the service is on the slower side, Michael's is the spot to be whether you want some good pizza at a great price or to watch a game. Definitely the perfect spot for March Madness with all the TV's.

Tavern style pizza that my Chicago bestie Sarju will drive out of his way for. The move is to order the shite pizza and ask for a side of marinara (not red pizza sauce) for dipping. Excellent tater tots and I also quite liked the meatballs, even if the spaghetti and sauce in the dish seemed to be missing something. Great service and fun place to catch a game (or all the games)..
